Protection and management of urban green spaces; planning of measures related to tree care and nature conservation in urban and rural areas; management tasks in nature conservation; special tasks involving arboricultural knowledge in administrations and research institutions; tree inspection services, especially hazard tree assessment; advisory service for tree care.

Soil sciences and aspects of urban planting sites; botany of woody plants; species of trees and woody plants; pathology of woody plants; tree care operations; legal aspects of arboriculture and green planning; tree defect diagnosis and tree safety; scaling, mapping and GIS; business administration and economics; nature conservation in urban areas; environmental planning in urban green spaces; mathematics and statistics.


In addition Gabriel Grober holds internationally recognised certification in the following subjects:

  • Chainsaw work including felling an processing trees of all size, assisted fell operations.
  • Tree climbing including accessing a tree using a rope and harness, aerial tree rescue operations, aerial cutting of trees with a chainsaw using free fall techniques, aerial pruning, aerial tree rigging.
  • License in the safe use of mobile elevating work platforms with the use of chainsaws.
  • Award in the safe use of pesticides in a commercial scale.
